Abstract
The lecture explores the nuanced aspects of patient assessments, including compensations in gestures, facial expressions, and posture. It investigates the level of compensation, whether muscular or skeletal, and considers the patient’s awareness and visible causes. Consequences of overloading and functional deficits are examined. The analysis of models, alignment of the upper and lower jaw in the articulator, and the relevance of anatomical parameters are key topics.
The transmission of the natural head position (NHP) is thoroughly explored, integrating theoretical knowledge into everyday practice. Orthodontics’ impact on reconstructive results is discussed, and the role of physiotherapy/osteopathy in pre-treatment and during dental therapy is highlighted. Practical cases are presented, addressing problem areas and showcasing a live patient demonstration. The implementation of vertical height with “table tops,” the influence of CAD/CAM procedures, and the role of the virtual articulator are examined in detail.

Tijdens deze middag zal interessante casuïstiek worden besproken door Pieke Wagemakers (restauratief tandarts in opleiding), Taco Kwee (restauratief tandarts) en tandtechnici Petra van der Schee, Marleen van Doesburg en Tim van Son (VDS tandtechniek). Moderator van deze interessante middag: Joris Peeters (restauratief tandarts).

CV An Nquyen
An Nguyen is in 2011 afgestudeerd aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Na een jaar in de algemene praktijk gewerkt te hebben heeft hij zijn eigen praktijk, Ardent Tandheelkunde, geopend. Inmiddels heeft hij meerdere bedrijven opgestart onder de vlag van ARDENT en is hij veelgevraagd consultant om bedrijvenfuture-proof te maken. Hij is bekend van het creëren van onder andere The Game Changer, een seminar dat als doel heeft om tandheelkundige ondernemers en managers het beste uit zichzelf en hun organisatie te laten halen. Hij definieert zijn missie als het inspireren, helpen en begeleiden van collega’s om hun dromen na te jagen, hoe onconventioneel deze ook mogen zijn. In het dagelijkse leven werkt hij als tandarts in zijn eigen praktijk en houdt zich in het bijzonder bezig met restauratieve en esthetische tandheelkunde. Ook houdt hij zich bezig met de research and development van de volledig digitale workflow en is hij partner van de captains of industry in de digitalisering. Hij geeft zowel nationaal als internationaal lezingen over marketing, brand-identity en innovatie in zowel de tandheelkundige als corporate industrie.

De aftrap wordt gemaakt door Dr. Joerd van der Meer, die zijn lezing de titel ‘Allemaal naar volledig digitaal’ heeft gegeven. Aansluitend zal Pedram Pooryousefi vanuit de tandtechniek zijn licht laten schijnen over ontwikkelingen waar u niet omheen kunt.
In de middag is het podium helemaal voor Prof. Dr. Daniël Edelhoff. Hij is zeker geen onbekende voor de NVVRT en wij zijn dan ook erg blij, dat hij ons weer een dagdeel op sleeptouw wil nemen met een lezing, getiteld ‘CAD/CAM-Polymers as Innovative Pre-treatment Option for Complex Rehabilitations’.
Op donderdag 9 januari 2020 bent u ook van harte welkom op het Restauratief Pre-Symposium. Tijdens die bijeenkomst zullen drie Restauratief Tandartsen (of in opleiding daarvoor) ieder een interessante restauratieve casus behandelen. De sfeer van die bijeenkomst is kleinschalig, praktisch, boeiend, interactief en informeel. Ook hier wordt uw aanwezigheid zeer op prijs gesteld.
